i know someone who graduated from college, with no student loan or credit card debts. she work in her profession all this time with 10% of her paycheck into 401k. plus company matching. she manage to…
one day her parents long time friend approach her about fake marriage with their nephew in cambodia. they willing to compensate her for $25,000. she think very hard. she could use that $25,000 to start up a side business in flower shop. to make long story short. everyone got what they wanted. she got her $25,000. he got his legal residents.
at the legal proceeding in divorce court. the fake husband want every thing to split up. her house, her cash in the saving account, her flower shop, and he even attemp to get part of the 401k she put in from the date they married to the date they file for divorce. we talk about a 3 yrs period of 10% of her paycheck. plus company matching.
the last i heard she had to refinance her mortgage with cash out option to keep her home and pay for the attorney fee, plus whatever the court judgement was.
the last time i met her at khmer grocery store. she told me dont do business or pleasure with people in srok khmer.
i never expierence it. i only see and heard the story between couple married from cambodia. let say i see and heard enuf to say no when it come to fake or real marriage with people in cambodia.
by the way no disrespect to the people of cambodia. the divorce rates for people married in sua aren't that great also.
