Phnom Penher to have 3 New Parks in September

Recently, the Capital Hall had been constructing 3 parks which are: a park on the previous site of PTT Gas Station, , a park in front of Imperial Hotel and Pochenton Children Playground; these projects were discussed during ​the monthly meeting on August 01, 2011 chaired by H.E Governor KEP Chuk Tema.
H.E Governor had urged the construction work for a park on the previous PTT Gas Station to be completed soon and it would become a special park on the intersection of main Boulevards at the same time to serve as a welcoming spot for national and international guests who travel from Phnom Penh International Airport. Moreover, the Governor also asked the meeting to name this park based on its design and location. According to the design of the Urbanization Office of the Capital Hall, the park was designed in a triangle shape (existing shape), trees planting on each corner with an installation of a god statue (built by a sandstone sculpture from Preah Vihear Province) in the middle of the park; particularly the whole park will be covered by curbside made of sandstone as well.
Furthermore as the Capital Hall’s plan for Pochenton Children Playground,the imported equipments had been installing by Malaysian technical supervisors; the Capital Hall planned to officially open it by the end of August. Therefore, inn the morning of August 12, H.E Governor KEP Chuk Tema and his subordinates personally visited the park aiming to conduct an inspection on construction progress and the equipment installation work. As usual, H.E Governor had appealed to District Authority(Dangkor District) to pay much attention in taking care and cleaning this site regularly especially the construction waste should be cleaned up, a regular guard so that we can ensure good view of the park in order to serve citizens’ pleasure and entertainment.
H.E Governor Inspected the Pochenton Children PlaygoundOn the other hand, the park in front of Imperial Hotel along Bassac River had been established by size expansion and traffic rehabilitation around the park; the work had been smoothly implemented as its plan. It would be reminded that it was a public park with a dead-end road, thus not so many people enjoyed going there which located on a 5,000 m2 land at the previous Naga port, and it was an old and uninteresting site. With wise recommendation of H.E Governor KEP Chuk Tema, the Urbanization Office had purified its design to become a green park to welcome citizens who visit riverside. It strongly hopes that big or small trees, pedestrian, sidewalk within the park; chairs as well as electricity pole would make this site to be a beautiful park for good health of visitors.
